Holy Spirit the God of relationship

To relate to others is an essential element of human life. We have to relate to God, to fellow humans, to nature, to our inner and outer selves. The mysterious power that enables us to relate comes from the Holy Spirit.

And this relationship is generally a life-giving relationship whose motivation is love. Hence we have what we always call a loving relationship with our Creator and with all creatures in creation. Life-giving relationships are spiritual like prayer, meditation and contemplation; and social, like helping the poor and the marginalized.

As a consequence of an authentic loving and life-giving relationship we have what we call creation spirituality. This spirituality has two approaches. This is based on our belief that because there is only One Creator of all existing beings there is an interdependency among them. The mysterious presence of the Creator in all creatures is the basic reason for this interdependency.

In Creation Spirituality we contemplate and adore this divine presence in all created persons and things. We are able to do this through the power of the Holy Spirit.
