54th World Communications Day
“The stories of different ages all have a common “loom”: the thread of their narrative involves “heroes”, including everyday heroes, who in following a dream confront difficult situations and combat evil, driven by a force that makes them courageous, the force of love. By immersing ourselves in stories, we can find reasons to heroically face the challenges of life.”
In this 54th World Communications Day celebration, Pope Francis challenges us to continue our mission of letting Jesus be known using the media of social communications where people are today. We have seen how live streaming in this time of crisis have helped our people, deprived of the opportunity to gather physically, satisfy at least virtually their longing for spiritual communion. Using the present day media, we need to continue highlight the selfless and patient efforts of our front liners and government agencies, the generosity of many who have become thoughtful in sharing their savings to the hungry in this time of crisis.
There is always good news when we see the hand of God at work in the midst of evil. Be counted among those heroes of faith and take part in telling the story of God’s love.
