Do you not care?
Do you not care? This could be a question that each of us may address to God during this time of COVID 19 crisis. While some believe that everything happens for a reason, others doubt why God allowed this crisis to happen. This doubt may lead to question whether God cares for us. But as Pope Francis tells us in his Urbi et Orbi last March 27, Jesus is also shaken by our very situation of suffering and sickness. “Because he, more than anyone, cares about us.”
Do you not care? This can be a question posed for each one of us who might have forgotten our front liners, who, as Pope Francis says, “without any doubt are in these very days writing the decisive events of our time: doctors, nurses, supermarket employees, cleaners, caregivers, providers of transport, law and order forces, volunteers, priests, religious men and women and so very many others who have understood that no one reaches salvation by themselves.”
Let us show that we care for each other by observing community quarantine and offering our sincere prayers.
