CBCP Head: May our prayer move us into action
Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines President Archbishop Romulo G. Valles encouraged everyone to cooperate with the authorities particularly the health officials especially in this time of the coronavirus pandemic.
He also invited everyone to offer prayers for the country’s health workers March 29.
He encouraged dioceses to pray for the health workers during their mass, recitation of the Holy Rosary, Holy Hour and during moments of personal prayer.
The Church still continues praying the Oratio Imperata to end this pandemic.
Aside from prayer, the archbishop also asked the faithful to support the health workers by cooperating with the quarantine measures set by the government.
The archbishop even asked dioceses to allow hospital workers to use their facilities as they are hesitant to go to their respective families for fear of transmitting the virus. Some have been ousted in their boarding houses by their landlords due to fear of infection.
“May our prayer move us to action,” he said in a report posted in CBCPNews.
