Unplanned shows Davaoeños the evil of abortion

In celebration of the Pro-Life Month last February, the Social Communication Apostolate and Family and Life Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Davao have brought the movie entitled Unplanned through a special screening at SM Cinemas.

Unplanned was shown at SM Cinemas in SM Lanang and SM Ecoland last February 23.

The movie tells the story of Abby Johnson who was a volunteer until she was employed and got promoted as Director of a Planned Parenthood Clinic where abortions were administered.

Her life changed after assisting in an abortion procedure.

The movie was based on a memoir by Abby Johnson, the protagonist.

Parishioners from the different parishes in Davao including walk-in viewers were able to see the movie in the big screen.

“It was shocking. It shows the lies told about Planned Parenthood and abortion,” said one viewer.

Another viewer also said that the movie is a good material to tell young people about the value of life and how one should take care of it from the mother’s womb.

Organizers of the film-showing are thinking on the possibility of showing Unplanned in different schools in the Archdiocese of Davao.
