OMPH PSK with SOCCOM Service with Love and Compassion

Every 1st Sunday of the month are fixed schedules for the combined meeting of Pangulo sa Katilingban (PSK) and Secretaries now called SocCom. As always we will be hearing reports from the PSK Parish Coordinator, SocCom Parish Coordinator, Lectors Coordinator, Youth Parish Worker In-charge and also discussing schedules for GKK Mass, Feeding, Church cleaning, Youth activities, Parish Mass sponsoring, and since it’s Lent season, Lent Recollection, Time schedule and tasking for Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday Easter Vigil and Ester Sunday.

What’s new with this month’s meeting are the “Evaluation of the New GSL’s Formation, Marian Devotion – a new activity every 1st Saturday of the month, DXGN Sponsorship for programs Morning Glory, Blessed and Youth Camp.

This has been our monthly flow of activities each month but this month something happened. One of our PSK at the same time GKK Parish Coordinator was absent because she was currently confined at the hospital. We included her fast recovery in our prayer during the prayer to our lone birthday celebrant for March, bro. Jun.

However our concern for her was not only through prayers, many scheduled a visit to her at the hospital after our meeting, but what affect me personally is the action of “passing the hat” for any amount that we can share to her to help defray her medical expenses. We also approved an amount from our fund to increase our contribution. It may not be that big but the knowledge that “we care and we share” not only in good times but also in bad times makes me happy, very happy. I felt wow we are “walking our talk” and for that I thank you Lord for the grace you have given.

As for our sister in the service we are praying for you mam Neneng. Have faith God is using you to magnify and glorify HIS name. We are praying for you so that next meeting we can hear again your super hearty laugh and words of wisdom for us to ponder and emulate. We love you, GOD LOVES YOU! (Marieta V. Comighud | OMPH Parish SoCCom)
