Davao City to Host the 5th Philippine Apostolic Congress on Mercy in 2022
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Davao City accepts the hosting of the 5th Philippine Apostolic Congress on Mercy PACOM 5, to be held on August 25-27, 2022. The Congress is a gathering of Divine Mercy devotees and promoters from all over the country, and participated in by cardinals, bishops, priests, religious and lay members from all over the country.
The PACOM 5 is a biennial event that will bring together around 4,000 participants in Davao City. The Congress seeks to provide an opportunity for representatives from all over the country to share their respective evangelization efforts, to strengthen more our devotion to the Divine Mercy, and to give participants a spiritually enriching experience of the mercy and compassion that our Lord of Mercy manifests in the midst of our daily realities and difficult calamities that we face today.
The Congress will also be a good opportunity to foster fellowship among the participants from all over the country and learn from each other how to grow and strengthen their devotion to the Divine Mercy. Ms. Emilia Sitjar, Chair and Coordinator of the Divine Mercy of Davao, also welcomed the holding of the event as a way of bringing the devotion to as many people as possible.
The Organizing Committee of PACOM 5 is headed by Rev. Fr. Amado Arroyo, D.C.D. Parish Priest of San Antonio de Padua Parish in Agdao Davao City, as Chairman and Ms. Joji Ilagan, Chair of the Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation as Vice Chairperson.
