Chapel opens door for devotees this Lent

The Our Lady of Peñafrancia GKK Chapel in DECA Homes Tigatto is opening its doors for devotees who want to pray and reflect this season of Lent.

The chapel is where the official replica of the Black Nazarene was enshrined and has become known as a site for devotees.

It can be noted that aside from the GKK Chapel in DECA Homnes, Tigatto, twp other official replicas were given to churches in Mindanao namely the Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus Nazareno Parish in Cagayan de Oro City and the Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Nazareno Parish in Apokon, Tagum.

“The chapel is open to all devotees and faithful who wanted to fulfill their vow to our Lord and to touch this miraculous image that has touched the hearts and healed millions,” the press release of the chapel of Our Lady of Peñafrancia said.

“In this Season of Lent, where people go on pilgrimages to holy sites to reflect and meditate on the saving power of God through His Death and Resurrection,” it added.

The faithful can do the Stations of the Cross, Divine Mercy Chaplet, or any Lenten exercises in the chapel.

The chapel is open from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Sunday.
