Abp. Valles blesses Cathedral’s new Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Archbishop of Davao Romulo G. Valles has blessed the new chapel of the Blessed Sacrament at the San Pedro Cathedral.
The blessing was done after the last Mass on February 24 and was attended by the priests assigned at the cathedral, religious and the parishioners.
The archbishop blessed the newly-renovated chapel which houses the altar, lectern, Tabernacle, Confessionals and the Crucifix.
During the blessing, the archbishop thanked the parishioners for their financial support for the completion of the renovation project.
He said that the chapel will be a conducive place to pray and visit the Blessed Sacrament.
He also highlighted the Confessionals which are important in the administering of the Sacrament of Confession which prepares the faithful to receive the Eucharist.
The archbishop mentioned that additional statues will be placed inside the chapel particularly the image of the Blessed Mother and the Sto. Niño.
He also invited the faithful to visit the chapel for their petitions and to pray with the Lord’s presence in the Tabernacle. (John Frances C. Fuentes with Rosalinda Jabonillo)
