Friends of REMASE marks 10th year
The Friends of REMASE, a group created to help in the funding for the formation of seminarians has marked its 10th year.
Friends of REMASE was launched February 6, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary with Archbishop Emeritus of Davao Fernando R. Capalla present during the launching.
This year, the REMASE community has hosted the annual thanksgiving dinner together with the members of the group last February 8 and was began with a Holy Mass officiated by Archbishop of Davao Romulo G. Valles.
REMASE’s procurator Fr. William Cajes gave an update on the financial status of the funds collected through the pledges coming from the members of the Friends of REMASE.
The Rector, Fr. Reynaldo Retardo said that despite the difficulties that the members may have faced, they still continue to support this cause for the seminary formation of the future priests.
“We sincerely say, ‘thank you very much’ for your generous support to the formation of future priests and to the Church in general,” Fr. Retardo said.
“On our part, we express our gratitude, by always reminding ourselves to do our part—to generously give ourselves to the formation and to the service of the Church,” he added.
He also told the members of Friends of REMASE that they include them and their petitions in their celebration of the Holy Eucharist. (Photos by Brenda P. Milan)
