Vicariate Festival: Pakimosulba Festival
PaKiMoSulBa is a vicariate in the Diocese of Digos which comprises the parishes of St. Michael in Padada, Immaculate Conception Parish in Kiblawan, Sto. Niño Molopolo Mission Station, San Roque Parish of Sulop, and the host of this year’s festival, St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Banate. This year’s celebration unites the vicariate of PaKiMoSulBa as it reaches 4th year together anchored with the theme: “Panaglambigit sa Kinabuhi, Kabuhatan Gasa sa Diyos”. There are more than 300 faithful from all ages who graced the occasion.
The Festival started with the Holy Eucharist which Reverend Father Juan Macalisang the parish administrator of St. Francis of Assisi Sub Parish of Banate as a presider with Father Jupiter Canoy, PaKiMoSulBa’s Vicar Forane who is also the parish priest of Padada, Father Leopoldo Omblero the parish priest of Sulop, Father Santos Villahermosa parish priest of Kiblawan with Father Restituto Evidientes assistant priest of Kiblawan.
In his homily, Reverend Father Juan Macalisang highlighted the phrase “The world created by the word” that is the creation will follow what God commanded to them. According to him, “Naay mga binuhat kay naa may magbubuhat.”
The PaKiMoSulBa Festival 2019 continued for the sports event, Philippine Dance competition, and Parlor Games on its second day. Everyone came home happy and more united being beloved, gifted, and empowered. (Joanna Marie D. Trumpeta | Padada SocCom)
