Davao supports cause for 1M kids praying the Rosary
The Archdiocese of Davao is supporting the initiative of an international Catholic charity of calling one million children all over the world to gather and pray the Holy Rosary together.
The Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), an international Catholic charity directly under the Holy See is calling all believers to let the children pray the Rosary on October 18 at 9:00 AM or at any other suitable time.
This simultaneous praying of the Holy Rosary aims to gather children in every continent to pray the rosary for world peace and mutual harmony among nations, according to the Circular No. 34 Series of 2019 issued by Archbishop Romulo G. Valles on October 2.
“I enjoin all of you to be actively involved in this worldwide campaign of praying the rosary. I am particularly addressing our Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS) to give your kind attention to this concern,” the archbishop said in his circular.
The archbishop also asked the faithful to document through photos, videos and written reports that would be sent to the ACB headquarters as historical record of this annual activity which promotes prayer and devotion to the Blessed Mother among children throughout the world.
The archdiocese will facilitate the sending of the documentation through ACN Philippines.
The ACN also has profile and online materials available at www.millionkidspraying.org so everyone can find a material for this cause of praying the Rosary in honor of Mama Mary.
The Catholic Church celebrated the feast of the Holy Rosary last October 7 while the whole month of October is celebrated as the Month of the Holy Rosary.
