OLLP celebrates the Feast of the Nativity of the blessed mother
September 8 — The Marian devotees of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal, united with the Roman Catholic Church in celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother.
The lead devotees gathered the flock together at the grotto of the Our Lady of Lourdes at 04:30 a.m., to serenade hymns of praises for the celebrator.
After the Holy Rosary was said, the devotees were advised to transfer inside the church for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 06:00 a.m. Offering of the bouquet of fresh flowers followed before the final blessings.
Light breakfast was served at the pastoral building, courtesy of the Marian Families and the Pangulo sa Panudlo.
Eleven out of twenty-five or 44% of the total GKKs within the territorial jurisdiction of OLLP had chosen Mama Mary as their patron saint. The Immaculate Conception is the most popular title with 5 GKKs, followed by The Our Lady of Fatima with 2 GKKs, the rest are, Inahan sa Kanunay’ng Panabang, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, and Our Lady of Queen of Peace.
