Let Mary be born in you

Today, September 8, the Church throughout the world celebrates the birth of Mama Mary. It is a way of thanking the blessed Mother for her “yes” to the will of the Father to partake of His plan of salvation.

The best way to celebrate in thanksgiving of Mary’s birth us to let her be born in each of us. That means to learn and practice her virtues. In times of trial we need to be full of trust, in affliction hope, in temptation firmness of commitment and in success humility.

By imitating Mary’s example, we go beyond devotion in the beautified altars of Mary. Through it, we show our gratitude not only to her but to the Father who called her to partake of the mission to save humanity. In living her way of life, we become the modern Mary born in the midst of the Church today.
