Our Lady of the Assumption

Happy fiesta to the Parish of the Our Lady of the Assumption in Torres Street, Davao City, to Fr. Hermie, Parish priest, companion priests, parishioners & staff.

For 60 fruitful years, this community of faith is a witness of the journey of faith in this part of the archdiocese of Davao. With Mary, mother of the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament fathers have been inspired to lead her people closer to the Eucharist. Faith-life experiences since the establishment, this parish community have been nourished by worship, teaching and service after the example of Mary.

There is no other surest way to enter heaven in order to be with the Savior than to be drawn by her mother. Let us then continue our devotion to her knowing that being faithful to the Word-made-flesh through her guidance leads us to life in heaven. Like Mary, who now lives with God, we will also be with Him in heaven, our destination as sons and daughters of our Father.
