St. Francis of Assisi Parish-Maa visits Davao City Jail

It wasn’t coincidence but was God’s will for SFAP-Maa Social Action Ministry to visit the 211 indigent and visitorless PDLs of Annex Jail today, Feast of the Virgin Mary’s Visitation, May 31, 2019, to give them the much needed hygiene kits and toiletries just as the Blessed Virgin Mary “went in haste” to visit Her cousin Elizabeth who was elderly and pregnant and in need of care and assistance.

The hygiene kits were donated by St. Francis of Assisi Maa Parish in partnership with Davao Eagles Club. The Annex Jail Chief UWD officer SJ03 Edwil Naidas, representing the Warden SJI Erwin B. Esden, was on hand to meet and assist the parish team in the distribution of donations. SFAP-Maa and Davao Eagles Club also gave various medicines and supplies to the Davao Archdiocesan Prison Ministry to support its expanding medical and dental missions to the inmates in the various jails of DADITAMA region.
