PM Sister among dead in Matina Pangi crash

A member of the Presentation of Mary Sisters is one of the victims of the vehicular accident in Matina Pangi last Tuesday, June 11.

Sr. Carmen Saniel, PM, elder sister of Diocesan Clergy of Davao member, Fr. Dioscoro Saniel was involved in the accident when a truck carrying sacks of rice rammed into several other vehicles and houses at 9:30 AM.

According to reports, the driver of the 10-wheeler truck has lost its brake which caused that fatal accident which involved other 21 vehicles including pedicabs.

Aside from Sr. Saniel, there are other victims who lost their lives including a three year-old boy. The rest were yet to be identified as of this writing.

“Rest in peace, Sr. Carmen Saniel, PM and other victims of the vehicular accident in Matina Pangi,” said Mark Narreto, a former student of St. Peter’s College of Toril where Sr. Saniel once served.

Friends of Sr. Saniel and her brother have also expressed their condolences for the sudden demise of the PM sister.
