Palm Sunday: Alay Kapwa Sunday

Last March 7, 2019, the Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao and CBCP President, issued a circular letter addressed to all parish priest, chaplains of public chapels and Pangulo sa Katilingban of the GKKs of the Archdiocese of Davao. The campaign for Alay Kapwa from March 10 to April 14, 2019 integrates the aspect of information, prayer and almsgiving.

“The same as last year, we will bring the Alay Kapwa celebration to the Pundok Banay Level in our GKKs. Through this we will reach out to the families in our parishes, and strengthen as well our GKKs by their participation. The activities of Prayer, Reflection and Almsgiving will be facilitated by our GKK Leaders, particularly the Tigpasayon sa Pundok Banay using the guide booklet made by the Archdiocesan Social Action Center (ASAC).”

Indeed, this is one of the many concrete ways for us to express our sincere observance of Lent.
