Women Formators to Focus More on Young People
The Association of Women Formators of the Philippines (AWFP) are focusing their attention on understanding the Filipino youth in order to aid them in their formation journey.
“We are old and since we are handling these young people, we want to understand them and help them in the formation. If we don’t know their dynamics, how can we help them? They might get lost. We want to accompany them the way God wants us to,” AWFP Chairperson Sr. Cynthia F. Camuta said.
According to Sr. Camuta, the formators want to be sure that the calling the Filipino youth are responding to is genuine and in order to do that, they need to relate and understand with the newer generation.
Through the expert speakers of the 38th AWFP National Convention held in Davao City, the 193 delegates all over the country are being equipped with the knowledge and strategies to understand Filipino millennials and post-millennials.
“I’ve been praying that this convention will be a fruitful one. I hope the delegates will be enlightened by the Lord. We welcome all the more our young people and we will be able to accompany them so that we can lead them closer to the Lord,” Sr. Camuta said. (Andrew Topinio)
