Interesting Facts about Bishop-Elect Ronald Lunas Part 2

Rev. Fr. Ronald Lunas, STL was announced by the Vatican as the 5th Bishop of the Diocese of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, it was synchronous with the announcement held in Digos Clergy house at 7 PM on Nov. 22, 2018. Days later, Fr. Lunas chose Feb 11, the feast of our Lady of Lourdes as his date of Episcopal Ordination at the Mary Mediatrix Cathedral in Digos City.

It was on the same date, 39 years years ago that Bishop Generoso Camina, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Digos was installed at the old Mary Mediatrix Cathedral therefore making FEBRUARY 11 a historic date in the Diocese as the date of Ordination of the first Bishop produced by the diocese in the person of Fr. Ronald Lunas and the date of Installation of the First Bishop of then newly opened Diocese of Digos, the late Bishop Generoso Camiña.
