St. Charles Borromeo
Among the many saints we remember during this month of November, we give thanks to St. Charles Borromeo as a gift to the Church. We owe it to him for the foundation of diocesan seminaries for the formation of priests. He inspired this kind of formal education of those who wish to respond to the call of being priests.
Patterned after the heart of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, seminaries today continue to mold young men who are called to become future pastors of the Church. Here in Davao, Digos, Tagum and Mati region, each local church has been gifted with establishing college seminaries. These seminaries become the doors of discernment and process of maturity in one’s attempt to respond to the vocation of the priesthood.
We pray that more young men will respond to the call to become holy priests. We pray for those involved in the formation of priests that they may lead holy lives. May St. Charles Borromeo and all the saints pray for us!
