2018 Run for San Vicente Ferrer

October 21, 2018, Sunday at around 5:44 am, the parish of San Vicente Ferrer, Bangkal, Matanao, Davao del Sur sponsored a fun run in commemoration of their parochial fiesta.

Before the fun run started, at around 4:30 am, Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Allan Joie Nuñez, together with the 7th day novena to our patron saint, with Ms. Mary Ruth Lagamayon lighting the 7th candle. During his homily, Fr. Allan encouraged devotion to San Vicente Ferrer for he is miraculous. He also encouraged the lay faithful to be servant leaders and to live out their mission which is to evangelize. After receiving the Holy Eucharist the runners were now more empowered to run.

The fun run was participated by different parishes and GKKs. The winners for the fun run were: Ana May Martil for women, Mr. Jorge Andrade of Digos city for men, and Mr. Alken Rubio for bicycle riding.

In the end it isn’t the winning that matters, it’s our faithfulness to God and to our mission of evangelization. (James D. Diamante)
