“A Little Learning Is A Dangerous Thing”

If my memory doesn’t fail me these words between quotation marks are from the famous English writer and poet William Shakespeare.

He was right. There were people in his day who knew very little about topic or issue but talk or wrote proudly about it as if they knew everything. They got into trouble and were exposed and accused as plagiarists for stealing and appropriating other people’s ideas and words.

What is worse: people believing them because they are in power make wrong decisions based on the untruths pronounced by these “little learners”. This is the purveyors of “fake news” are doing.

We pray for the blessing of the passion for truth. Which can only come from Jesus who claimed He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. We include in our prayer those who promote fake news and their supporters.
