Groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed multi-purpose trellis held
Kids grow, teenagers find their paths, and the small praying community of St. Vincent Ferrer is like an adult continually touching lives.
19 years of toil and hard labor done for the Lord was swift just as how time in a blink becomes part of a man’s birth and death. This Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) with its patron St. Vincent Ferrer under the parish of St. Francis of Assisi La Verna celebrated its 19th patronal fiesta by proving it has grown through a groundbreaking ceremony last April 14, 2018.
The groundbreaking ceremony was done for the proposed multi-purpose building (Trellis de San Vicente) just in front of the said chapel.
The community’s president Lea Bernaldez was very glad for the cheerful givers, “for three hundred thousand pesos (300,000), we have found generous sponsors for this to be possible.”
The said trellis will be used for any activity that the community will do in the future, such as seminars, trainings, and many more. Mr. and Mrs. Tesiorna, Mr. and Mrs. Suarez, Mr. and Mrs. Melgarejo, Mr. and Mrs. Bernaldez, Mr. and Mrs. Posadas, Mr. and Mrs. Banquerigo and other GKK Servant Leaders and Parish Priest Father Junar Dela Victoria were the ones who symbolically poured some earth on the dug ground.
Indeed it was a fiesta worth remembering for in the coming years when the seed of faith will have its concrete walls through this multi-purpose trellis.
