Easter Joy

The resurrection of Jesus is so meaningful for the first believers and for us believers today. It is with Easter that the first believers groped for the meaning of the death of Jesus. Easter enlightened the lack of understanding of what Jesus said to his disciples before he died.

“The mystery of Christ’s resurrection is a real event, with manifestations that were historically verified, as the New Testament bears witness” (CCC 639). Faith tell us that the resurrection is not only imaginary nor born of a wish. It is about a person, an event — the God made flesh who offered himself on the cross for us.

May our faith — apostolic, catholic, one and holy — continue to strengthen each one of us and make us instruments of his joy that brings about peace.
