A Bible for every lector

The Director of the Archdiocesan Liturgical Center is urging every lector to have a Bible.

“Basta lector naa dapat Bibliya,” said Fr. Joel Caasi during his talk on the 11th Archdiocesan Lector, Commentator, Choir, Psalmist (LCCP) Convention last March 3.

He added that it’s not enough to own a personal Bible but one should read it every day.

Fr. Caasi addressed the more than 2,000 LCCP members during the convention held at St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary saying that they should read the Bible from cover to cover.

He also suggested to use the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) of the Bible which is the same version that the seminary uses.

He thanked the participants for attending the convention which already includes the choir members compared to the previous years that only involved the cantors.

“Your presence is also an inspiration for us priests,” he said.

Archbishop Romulo G. Valles has officiated the Holy Mass to culminate the whole day event.
