National Youth Day Zamboanga
NYD Confetti rains down on the field in the third night of the National Youth Day in Zamboanga. The five-day event was attended by more than 2,000 young people from various dioceses in the country, from November 6-10. Confetti are small pieces or streamers of paper, mylar, or metallic material which are usually thrown at parades, sporting team winners, and celebrations, especially weddings (and game shows, following the end of a milestone or the occasion of a big win). For the organizers of NYD, throwing confetti to the participants on its second day, November 7, means hyping them to become livelier agents of change for the church and country.
