Med Mission benefits Sr. San Vicente GKK
Exceeding its 100 people as its target beneficiaries, more than the number came to Sr. San Vicente Ferrer GKK Christian community Purok 21, Ideal Village Barangay Bago Aplaya as the family of this writer, Edgar V. Floresca (EVF) extended again a Medical Mission on October 28. Themed “Pakigdait. Pakighiusa. Kalambuan,” the activity offered free consultation, medication for both adult and children, and free wound dressing.
According to Pilastro Catalonia Jr., 48, a Pangulo sa Liturhiya in the said GKK, he is so happy that the group reached their place. He said “maayo bro kay naa mo diri, dako kayo ni ug tabang para namo kay sa tambal lang daan mahal na kaayo.”
Rosanne Mallen, 60, added, “sukad-sukad karon pa mi na-anhian ug medical mission. Daku dyud ang among pasalamat.”
Hon. Cristito B. Lazaro and Kagawad Marlon F. Campos, Chairperson on Community health Sanitation and Environment Protection remarked that they wished that the same activity will be conducted again in the barangay to offset the needs of their constituents especially on health services believing that healthy people become more productive.
The EVF Medical Mission is a cause in the name of service of this writer’s family. The family has been doing community projects particularly focusing on medical services. This activity was done in support of the barangay officials and some faculty members of Talomo National High School, and barangay Bago Aplaya, Davao City. (Edgar V.
