Soccom sells Herald, takes pledges
Holy Family Parish, Baliok — The Social Communications Committee of the Holy Family Parish celebrated the World Communications Sunday last May 28. They sponsored the Holy Mass at 8:00 in the morning then gathered at the Parish Social Hall for a simple fellowship. They updated themselves with the parish activities especially those that involved the SoCCom of the parish and of the Archdiocese.
The Parish SoCCom coordinator, Flor Deloria encouraged all members to attend seminars that will help equip each one to carry out the mission as members of SoCCom.
The challenge to help evangelize particularly the parishioners of Holy Family Parish was also posted. They were encouraged to communicate the great values of the Gospel not only during World Communications Sunday, but in every moment that they got a chance to talk with others.
During that day, the SoCCom help sold the Davao Catholic Herald newspaper. It is also the SoCCom’s way of spreading the good news, encouraging Catholics to support our catholic newspaper and radio. Pledges from parishioners as subscribers of the Catholic newspaper were also received. With this, it is hoped that each family will grab a copy our paper and welcome 89.9 Spirit FM in every home.
