OLLP parish councils go to Misamis and Bukidnon
“Everything must be founded in Christ. As a parish council, there are still lots of things to improve, nurture and develop. It’s still a long journey and we are excited to become better persons, better leaders for a better parish,” said Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (OLLP) priest Fr. Dexter Veloso to the Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council members in his homily held at a resort in Maramag, Bukidnon.
The Mass was held in line with the PPC and PFC’s out-of-town trip last May 13-14. They visited the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy, Divine Mercy Hills, PSB Ulaliman, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
After the pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy, the councils flocked to Dahilayan Forest Park in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The group also dropped by the Overview Nature and Culture Park in Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon, and relished the panoramic view of mountains amidst rain showers.
One of the participants, Vinny Bajo remarked, “it was a spirit and fun-filled summer experience.”
The rides and adventures, swimming moments and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist rejuvenated the members’ passion to serve the parish. (Vonz Hijada | OLLP SoCCom)
