Cavanis Institute New members, renewal of vows highlight 215th year anniversary
The Congregation of Schools of Charity-Cavanis Institute (CSCh) celebrated its 215th founding anniversary at the Cavanis Fathers Seminary Chapel, on May 2.
Abp. Emeritus of Davao Most Reverend Fernando R. Capalla D.D. presided the Holy Mass. The General Councillor of the Congregation of Schools of Charity, Fr. Alvise Bellinato, CSCh accepted the 10 new novices namely Joshua Adeno, Jonel John Alimucon, Dane Berongoy, Ace Jomarie Edpan, Caryl James Eyas Jelver Gallentes, Royett Gara, Vinnize Rey Pilapil, Elben Raganas and Jemark Venus during the Mass. The First Religious Profession of Bro. Harry Gullon III CSCh, Bro. Romar Rodriguez CSCh, Bro. Gino Sanchez CSCh, Bro. Ceasar Pacilan CSCh, Bro. Mark Gary Sombrio and renewal of vows of 12 religious professed brothers also took place.
Procession from the Cavanis Fathers Seminary Chapel to the Cavanis Novitiate Formation House and cutting of ribbon followed next. The Variety Show for a Cause in the evening was filled with presentations by the Cavanis fathers, brothers, sisters, novices and seminarians.
The event was enjoyed by all, since it reminded them that life is a journey and definitely along the journey there is joy in living faithfully the chosen vocation. (Bro. Harry Gullon, CSCh.)
