ADDU opens Center for Anti Illegal Drugs

Blessing and inauguration of Center for Anti Illegal Drugs (CAID) of Ateneo de Davao University in support to the Sagop Kinabuhi Program 2 (SKP 2). SKP 2 is the Archdiocese of Davao’s community rehabilitation program for the Voluntary Submission for Reformation (VSR) persons in coordination with the City Anti Drug Abuse Council, other schools and multi-sectoral agencies.

A 24/7 HOTLINE HELPLINE is now also available at the CAID for anyone who needs help involved in drugs, as follows: (082) 298-6728, (082) 298-6729; 0943-494-4211; 0912-196-8535; 0956-389-5131.

The Center was blessed by Davao Archbishop Romulo G. Valles, DD who expressed his gratefulness to ADDU for putting up CAID with the hotline and together with the other schools have adopted a total of 29 barangays with VSRs.

Abp. Valles also would like to mark this as a center for care, love and concern for others especially the drug dependents. He added that this is an example of concrete action of the church in support to the government’s campaign against drugs. CAID has four main programs that include research, community reformation, hotline, and training.

The Center is being managed by its Director Roawie Quimba.
