Electronic Transmittal of MedCert be implemented

Land Transportation Office Regional Director Atty. Gomer Dy announced the new online transactions offered by the office at the Kapehan sa Dabaw presscon last Monday.

The Electronic Transmittal of Certificates is one of the newest online transmittal services offered by LTO. Its main purpose is to provide an easier access, to organize process and to prevent the involvement of fixers in the workplace.

“We have caught fixers outside the office roaming around, giving out fake and free-sign medical certificates that is why we have provided the applicants to have an online transmittal to avoid such scam,” said Atty. Dy.

Atty. Dy also reminded the public regarding the medical check-up processing issue. He said that LTO is monitoring it closely for client’s satisfaction. “By the time that they get caught, these doctors will be immediately blacklisted and will be reported to the Philippine Medical Association.” (Gladys Shane Valdez, HCDC intern)
