City High venue for 2017 Heart Month celebration

The Philippine Heart Association (PHA) in cooperation with the local government of Davao celebrates February as the Heart Month. In line with this, everyone is invited to support and avail of the free medical check-ups on February 11 and 12 at the Davao City National High School.

Themed, “Heart Month in Davao City: Get to the Heart of the Matter, Have a Healthy Heart!”, Dr. Arnold Pasia, a heart specialist in a press con said that activities prepared for the first day are the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on Wheels and Wings and Basic Life Support or Hands-on CPR Training from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Today, February 12, the activities are Medical Mission, Zumba Contest and Poster Making Contest which will start from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

According to Dr. Pasia, they expect at least 500 to 1,000 people that will come and celebrate along with the heart specialists and cardiologists from different places and hospitals in Mindanao. (Crissa Chileana, HCDC intern)
