Seminarian shares basic Bible info to scholars
Since the Church celebrates Bible month every January, Seminarian Kim Rei Cabingas, who is having his exposure at the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish in Buhangin shared his knowledge about the Holy Bible History to the St. Mary Scholars, Food Bank beneficiaries and selected Pangulo sa Alagad.
Held last Sunday, January 8, at the St. Mary Parish Sports for Peace and Livelihood Training Center, the participants learned that the Bible has been written in Hebrew, then translated to Greek and to Latin, and then, now in English.
Seminarian Kim Rei pointed out the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. He talked also about the number of books in the Old Testament and the New Testament.
He emphasized on one of the readings in the bible when one of the disciples asked Jesus on what to do and Jesus answered: “feed my sheep and lamb.”
“Lamb here is Jesus being offered to mankind. Therefore, if we feed or help our brothers in need we did feed the sheep and the lamb of God,” he said.
This formation was made possible through the approval of PSAM coordinator, Joel Corage and support of the Parish Priest, Fr. Jess Samaniego. (Gliceria Velez, PSA | Hermie Mapute, Parish SoCCom | Photo: Lesing Velez)
