HTC holds Alay Buhay 2016
The Holy Trinity Community (HTC), a Charismatic covenanted community held its outreach in San Miguel Parish, Marahan last December.
More than one hundred families mostly parishioners of Marahan, with around 90 teenagers aged between 13-16 years old came.
The outreach started with a holy mass celebrated by Fr. Jerry A. Charcos, MS. In his homily, he explained the true meaning of the Advent Season and the advent wreath. Since it was the third Sunday (Gaudete Sunday meaning “joy”) the pink candle was lighted up.
After the mass the youth of Marahan were divided into three groups. Each group listened to talks on “Media”, “Youth Culture”, and about “True Love Waits” which were all given by the young adult members of HTC.
After the talks, gift packs were distributed to the youth. The activity concluded with praise and worship.
Simultaneously, free medical check-up (with free medicines) was also conducted outside the Church by doctors and nurses who are all members of HTC.
Alay Buhay is a venue to train young adult members the importance of giving and sharing knowledge with their fellow youth, for they are taught that the best way to learn is to teach. (Leigh Marlo O. Navarro | Young Adult, HTC)
