FOR THE BOYS: Cavanis teaches young men put faith in action

“A faith without action is useless.”

This was challenged by St. James the Apostle for believers to be faithful, genuine to their action and on their service, like by the Cavanis Father’s Community to the Knights of the Altar Servers (KOTAS) from various school, in the annual convention themed, “KOTAS: Masaligon sa pag-alagad, Mahigugmaon sa paghalad,”on November 26 at the Cavanis Fathers Formation House.

Serving the Lord in the Holy Eucharist as altar boys, the said event was participated by students from Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School and the Holy Cross of Bunawan. Altar servers from St. James the Apostle Parish, Bunawan, San Miguel Parish, Panacan, St. Joseph the Worker, Sasa and St. Francis Xavier Parish, Tibungco and St. Joseph the Husband of Mary Parish of Dujali, Davao del Norte, joined in the gathering.

Program started with messages from postulant Harry Gullon III, then from Fr. Tiburce M. Barbeault Mouyekee, CSCh, the Director of the Novitiate.

Cavanis seminarians led the crown in dancing, “Magpuri at Magpasalamat”. Then, all proceeded to the scholasticate for the lecture Bro.Robert King Fallera, CSCh. Morning events ended with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Alvise Bellinato, CSCh, Rector of the Cavanis Fathers Seminary. The activity promoted friendship and unity through sharing of talents and games. The praying of the Holy Rosary followed as well as the awarding ceremony. Fr.
