17th Week in Ordinary Time, Saint Peter Chrysologus, Bishop and Doctor

MATTHEW 14:3-4 Recall that Herod had had John arrested, put in chains, and imprisoned on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip. That was because John had told him, “It is not right for you to live with her.”

REFLECT: Am I afraid to tell the truth because of fear of persecution or rejection?

PRAY: Jesus, help me to do what is true in Your sight.

ACT: Stand for the truth.
