Barangay Lasang Bids Arrivederci Bro DAVIDE

June 7, 2016, a Special TuesDAY, was a momentous day of celebration for the Brothers of the Holy Family (a worldwide Catholic congregation of religious brothers founded by the late Venerable Gabriel Taborin of France) administrators of the Gabriel Taborin College of Davao located in Barangay Lasang, Davao City.

Bro Davide del Barba, FSF, their Italian Executive Director will be re-assigned to Turin, Italy. Bro. Nello da Campo, FSF, also an Italian, is the new head steward of the college and their congregation other apostolate works in Davao City.

The joyful event was ushered by a Chrism Mass presided by Archbishop Fernando Capalla with four other priests concelebrating.

In addition, the newly constructed two-storey 7-room School Building for K-12 Educational Program was inaugurated. A sumptuous lunch banquet was served after a short thanksgiving program.

The said occasion was also the “despedida” party for Bro. Davide, who has been serving the community through giving quality collegiate and technical education since the year 2000, almost 16 years as a resident of barangay Lasang. Archbishop Emeritus Fernando Capalla in his homily extended his personal gratitude to Bro. Davide in particular, and to the other members of the congregation in general. Freres de la Sainte Famille de Belley is the French title the brothers of the holy family is originally known for, founded in 1835. Dio ti benedica, Bro. Davide.
