St. John Paul II Parish Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony

Immediately after the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the permanent Parish Church and convent followed, also officiated by Archbishop Romulo G. Valles, DD, Archdiocese of Davao, assisted by Father Pete, Father Calixto, Bro. Ronald Lacapag, AJC, AJC (Apostles of Jesus Crucified) Sisters, Altar Boys, Pangulo Sa Liturhiya (PSL}, PSK, PSP, PSKB, Pangulo Sa Batan-on, and other Church Ministries.

In line with the celebration of the 5th Foundation Anniversary of Saint John Paul II Parish in Los Amigos, Tugbok District, Davao City, a concelebrated Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was held last May 17, 2016 in the morning officiated by Archbishop Romulo G. Valles, D.D., and assisted by Rev. Father Pedro B. Maniwang, Parish Priest, and Rev. Father Calixto Deimus, AJC. In attendance were the members of the Parish Finance Committee, Parish Pastoral Council, and lay leaders of the 28 GKKs belonging to the parish.

After the Mass, a ground breaking ceremony was also officiated by Archbishop Valles for the two (2) permanent structures of the parish, namely the 800-seaters church and the parish convent. (Julian C. Cañete, Sr., PSK Parish Coordinator)
