St. Jude KOTAS shares real-life stories online
The St. Jude Thaddeus Parish Knights of the Altar Servers (KOTAS) has created a way of entertaining themselves through Vine, a video sharing social network where users can share clips as altar servers.
Vines Coordinator Starry Chucas said that he continues to guide the members in their decision making as they suggested to open “Vines” to share KOTAS real-life experiences.
“We created Vines because it is what they want for we don’t have any other outside activities. I was inspired by my co-members who can act at a very young age, thought they are unaware that they can do it. By means of development, each Sakristan Viner can discover his own talents such as acting, singing, and dancing,” Chucas added.
Viber Ariel Angot disclosed that this activity gives him a lot of benefits. “I find it very enjoyable, mixed with sadness and anger. Acting is a big challenge for me because to handle real-life experience is so hard, especially when you are still into that situation. There, you’ll see events in a sakristan’s life.”
The St. Jude KOA envisions unity through fun, entertainment and real-life experiences of being a Sakristan (Altar Server/Acolyte). Its mission is to provide amusement throughout the social media thru recreating Vines into such a way that can entertain people.
