Philo lines hype UIC campus fair
“The more you know, the more you do not know.”
This was one among the famous philosophy lines shared at the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) Campus Fair 2016 Philosophy Day, recently.
Themed, “Philosophy: an antidote against absence of hope and meaning in human life”, it was opened with a mass by Fr. Calexto Peligrino, Jr. and was attended by students, administrators and the organizing club, The Philosophia Society.
ADDU professor Peter Paul Elicor facilitated the philosophy symposium, while literary extravaganza highlighted famous philosophy lines such as in the extemporaneous speaking and “Philosophers’ Face Sounds Familiar” contests. Contenders were from the Psychology, Communication Arts, English Literature, and Philosophy under the Liberal Arts program. Students from the St. Francis Xavier College seminary also attended and joined the contests.
Club moderator Prof. John Darrel D. Rillo thanked all the supporters in his closing remarks. (Danny Lico)
