Kidapawan Diocese hosts 40th DCM
The Diocesan Clergy of Mindanao (DCM) will once again gather to celebrate their annual convention. This three-day annual gathering of the diocesan priests all over Mindanao and Sulu will take place this coming February 15-17, 2016 with the theme: “Diocesan Clergy of Mindanao: Reflecting on the Family as nourished by the Word and the Eucharist”. The Diocese of Kidapawan, though in the state of ‘Sede Vacante’, takes the challenge to be this year’s host.
More than 400 priests including bishops from the different archdioceses and dioceses in Mindanao are expected to arrive in Kidapawan City on February 15, 2016. His Excellency Orlando Cardinal Quevedo, OMI, D.D. will welcome the delegates in the opening mass to be held at the Our Lady of Mediatrix of All Grace Cathedral. Bishop Patricio A. Buzon, SDB, D.D. of the Diocese of Kabankalan in Negros Occidental will grace the second day of the convention. He will speak about the theme on that day. The JC Complex in Lanao, Kidapawan City will be the official venue of this year’s convention. Delegates will be accommodated in the different Hotels and Inns around the city.
Msgr. Abel C. Apigo, DCD, the president of the Diocesan Clergy of Mindanao, has high hopes that this year’s gathering of the diocesan priests and bishops of Mindanao will be successful and memorable. Nonetheless, Msgr. Carlito R. Garcia, DCK, the appointed administrator of the Diocese of Kidapawan, expresses his joy with the Kidapawenos to welcome the bishops and priests of Mindanao.
