Unerring Word and Prayer

God’s word is infallible and unerring when He says: “Everyone who seeks finds; the one who asks, receives; the one who knocks, will have the door opened” (Mt. 7:8). This is applicable to various needs and times in life of a person, especially when addressed with deep confidence and trust in the Almighty, at the same time endeavoring to do and live His will in one’s life. The certainty is indeed assured as when the Lord says: “When you ask for anything in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall come” (Mk. 11:24).

Prayer keeps the heart open and attentive to the will of God, so that the person may see with the ‘eye of the Spirit’ and learn to love the things of the Lord. Doing His will then means that we live as Jesus did, for He is Love in person, and this love makes one “humble, patient and forgiving” (1 Cor. 13:4). What a happy and peaceful place our world will be if we truly live God’s unerring word, beginning in ourselves. The words of a popular song indicating that ‘there be peace on earth and let it begin in me’ indeed reminds everyone of the gift of peace for all the hearts attuned to the divine will at prayer.
