OLLP Bangkal joins 25th PREX Mindawide conference
The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal flocked to General Santos City last November 29, 2015, for the silver celebration of PREX Mindanao Family Day. Different PREX parishes throughout Mindanao gathered at the Viranza Hall of KCC Mall in General Santos City for the said celebration themed, ‘The Holy Eucharist and the PREX Family: A Witness of God’s Mercy and Faith.’
“The attendance is overwhelming,” said 25th PREX Mindanao Family Day Secretariat. “We expected 1200 for today’s celebration, but with God’s grace, attendance today reached 2200.” The whole day PREX celebration was blessed with the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist celebrated by the Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Lagao, General Santos City, Father Leonardo Rano, DCM.
NAPPS President Couple Kuya Manny Gaite and Ate Mabel Gaite reminded everyone of the PREX Core Value that every Kuya and Ate should possess. “Every PREX member should live with church belongingness, caring relationship, joyful service, and a cheerful giving,” they ended. St. Mary’s GKK SoCCom formed, learned news writing
Arsenia Barimbao, a participant from GKK San Isidro Labrador-Ciudad de Esperanza submitted her article immediately after the SoCCom meeting of the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish, last November 29, 2015 at the Parish Hall.
Bro. Arnaldo Villodres, a member of Parish Social Communication shared on what he had learned from the Media Baby Ka Ba? training which was spearheaded by Davao Verbum Dei Media Foundation, Inc. Training and Support Department.
He gave input on the Basics in News writing: Overview of Writing and Writing Processes, Orientation to Social Communication and Mass Media.
The participants were all attentive. Eager to learn, they look forward for the series of workshop.
The regular schedule of formation meeting of SoCCom is every fifth Sunday of the month. It was participated by forty-five members of GKK SoCCom of the Parish. (Hermie Mapute | SMRP SoCCom)
