Renouncing your possessions

LUKE 14:27,33 Anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple…None of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his possessions.

REFLECT: When the weather goes against my plans, do I complain? When things are difficult, do I easily give up on faith? Do I give more importance to what I want rather than what God wants? Am I too busy with earthly matters to be able to give myself wholly to my being a disciple?

PRAY: JESUS, cleanse my heart of earthly clutters.

ACT: Give up love of self, creatures and things.
