Month of the Holy Rosary Launched

“Hail Mary, Full of grace, the Lord is with you.” This prayer resonated when parishioners recited together the Holy Rosary last October 1 at 4:30 in the afternoon at the San Pedro Cathedral. It signaled the start of the month long celebration of the Holy Rosary. Fr. Calixto Peregrino, led the recitation of the Holy Rosary with participants of mostly women and a few men. The singing of the Apostles’ Creed in the dialect added a festive mood.

The 5:30 Holy Mass followed presided by the same priest. The feast day of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, who is the patroness of missionaries, fell on the same day. Her ‘Little Way’ added another dimension to this important annual celebration of the Holy Rosary. It accentuated the manner in which the Holy Rosary is to be recited, with humility and sincerity.

Praying the Holy Rosary was launched in all other parishes in the Archdiocese and all over the world.
