Holy Cross of Hagonoy Celebrates Golden Anniversary

POBLACION, HAGONOY, DAVAO DEL SUR — There’s nothing more exciting than seeing a nun like Sr. Celia Piala, OP play drums. This happened when the whole Holy Cross of Hagonoy (HCH) community celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a string of events which exemplified the institutions one pillar, Veritas last July.

The members of the HCH alumni organized a Fun Run and Zumba at the HCH grounds, while a medical mission was also held in partnership with the Provincial Health Office, Comari Foundation, San Pedro College and San Pedro Hospital in the classrooms.

A Holy Eucharist was celebrated at the San Isidro Labrador Parish in Hagonoy with celebrants Rev. Fr. Perseus Gonzales, Fr. Rico Dingal, JCL, and a guest priest missionary from Kenya, Rev. Fr. Renato Tugon, PME. He is the 3rd among the Filipino PME missionary priests in the Philippines. He hails from Don Marcelino, Davao del Sur and was ordained in 2009. (Nemric Kiel Umali)
