UIC wins Regional Bible Quiz tilt

THE University of Immaculate Conception (UIC) is Southern Mindanao’s Champion for the 6th St. Paul National Bible Quiz. High school students Thea Gamboa, Melissa Bianca Operario and Eloisa Operario together with their coach Brian Payot brought home the bacon last June 28, 2015.

The team led UIC to a 52-point victory; creating a 21-point gap between them and the Rogationist Academy who came second and was last year’s Champion. Colegio de San Ignacio came third with 30 points. Winners received a certificate and cash prizes P5,000.00, P3,000.00 and P2,000.00, respectively.

Emerging as the top contender during the regional finals, the team is to compete against other regional/division Bible Quiz champions from all over the country on September 14, 2015 in Pasay City where the Grand Champion will receive P50,000.00, P20,000.00, and P10,000.00.

The St. Paul National Bible Quiz with the theme: “Live the Word, Build a Better World” is organized by the Society of St. Paul to encourage students to read and study the Bible significantly and allow the Word of God to act on their lives. (Teresa Marie Dumandan)
