‘Tumba Lata’ makes parish 21st foundation merrier
Pentakasihay sa Parokya kicked off San Miguel Parish’s day this year. Themed: “Ang Parokya ni San Miguel Nakigduyog sa Tuig sa mga Kabus,” all GKK ministry leaders gathered to clean the church and its surroundings. A day after, the celebration was formally opened with a Thanksgiving Mass with Rev. Fr. Jun Gimeno, parish priest of San Miguel parish, as celebrant, June 21. He acknowledged the dedication and support by GKK leaders from different ministries, apostolates and organizations for 21 years. All the father’s present that day were also blessed along with a very touching rendition of a song. After the Mass, parishioners gathered outside for a short program with presentations from the Pangulo sa Pagpanudlo (PSP), Pangulo sa Batan-on and kids.
Larong Pinoy such as Takyan, Tumba Lata, Ball Shooting and Egg Catching were played by representatives from different ministries. After the points were tabulated, the PSB or Pangulo sa Batan-on garnered the highest points and got the grand prize. A fellowship lunch ended the day’s celebration. (Eleanor Pascua)
